ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

Some pretty good comments there. Not everyone left one. Hmm.

I have so many of your papers to correct this weekend. Tonight, I'm simply too exhausted to do any more correcting.

Tomorrow, we'll look at some grammar in the book, and I'll answer any questions you might have.

Weekend Blog

So, second drafts of your paper are due tomorrow with a pre-written typed outline.
Also, find a narration online that you like and bring it to class. I would like everyone to bring it to me in my office before class if possible (before 10:40) if possible, so I can make photocopies of them.
We'll review for midterms this week.

Thursday

Whoops!!! I posted the wrong class' blog on this site again. Why do I always do this? Maybe I'm getting old.
Anyway, the homework is to find a narration paper that you find interesting and bring it to class tomorrow. Also, write on it. Circle the parts that you like and write why you like them. Be prepared to discuss it with me. We'll meet in SA304 tomorrow.

Articles

Articles and more Articles. Was it painful. Some of you looked like you were in so much pain. Sorry. I know it was a lot.
Homework: Grammar Book pp. 56-57, and then write a (short) story (2-3 sentences are OK) about a mistake you've made. Talk about a time when you gave someone your phone number, and that person stalked you. "I shouldn't have given my phone number." or "I should've given him a fake number."

Midterms will be on Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
I'll give you more detail on it tomorrow!

Please study that vocabulary and use it. We have a paper due tomorrow, don't we?
Do you need more time on it? Would you like more time with it? Please let me know by leaving a comment on the blog or emailing me.

Goodnight

Narration

OK, so the first draft is due tomorrow of your narration papers.

Make sure you have a typed Outline as well. I do not take first drafts home; I will look at them and you need to make appointments to come meet with me as well. Friday morning and Friday afternoon are good times for me.

Tainted Textbooks

It has come to my attention that several students have books that have answers written in them. This is against school rules and is "Plagiarism". If you have a book with answers written in it or if you have the TEACHERS' VERSION of a textbook, please buy a new book and return the teachers verson ASAP.
Thank you.

Sunday Night

Students,

Hello. I hope all of you have had nice weekends. I did. I picked some pumkins from a pumkin patch in Puyallup which was a lot of fun.
Today, I went to Costco and did some shopping. I'm pretty sure it's going to be rainy and cold for a while now.
Anyway. Tomorrow third drafts are due. Please also hand in your second drafts and outlines. Make sure you have each set of drafts stapled to each other. We will also have a quiz tomorrow and start on the topic of our next paper.
I'll be in the office from 8:15-10:55.

Have a good night.

Thursday

OK, so your job now is to explore further possiblities for your paper. This will involve a lot of rewriting and conculting your book and notes for ideas. Like I said, you should be spending 45 minutes to an hour on each sub topic (body paragraph) and intro and conclusion paragraphs.
I'll be in the office Fri. 8-11 and 3-7 so come and get help. Please come with good questions.
